Interactive Product Tour: Master Mem-App in Minutes

We know that getting started with a new tool can sometimes be overwhelming. Mem-App is packed with powerful features to help you build your vocabulary—from instant lookups to scientifically-backed review sessions. To help you get the most out of these tools from day one, we're excited to introduce our new Interactive Product Tour.

What's New?

When you log in to Mem-App, you'll now be greeted by a helpful guide that walks you through key workflows. It’s designed to be unobtrusive but available exactly when you need it.

1. Home Page & Quick Lookup

The tour starts by showing you how to navigate the app and, most importantly, how to use the Simple Lookup feature. You'll learn how to quickly find definitions for new words without breaking your flow.

2. Deep Dive into Definitions

Once you look up a word, the tour guides you through the definition card:

  • Pronunciation: Hear how the word is spoken (US/UK).
  • Meanings: See clear definitions organized by part of speech.
  • Examples: Read and listen to sentences that show the word in context.
  • Add to Review: Learn how to save the word to your spaced-repetition queue with a single click.

3. Mastering Your Reviews

The review session is where the magic happens. The tour explains the optimal workflow for memorization:

  • Test Yourself: Use the blurred definition to test your recall first.
  • Use Context: Check the example sentences for clues.
  • Unblur & Check: Reveal the meaning to verify your answer.
  • Rate Your Memory: Learn what the "Easy", "Okay", "Hard", and "Forgot" buttons do, and how they schedule your next review session automatically.

How to Try It

If you're a new user, the tour will start automatically. For existing users, or if you want to see it again:

  1. Log in to Mem-App.
  2. Look for the "Show Tour" button (trigger icon) in the bottom-right corner.
  3. Click it to restart the guide for the page you are on.

You can also customize your experience in the Settings page, where you can choose to hide the tour button if you're already a pro!
