What’s New?

Previously, when you looked up a word, the app would wait until it had retrieved absolutely everything—definitions, examples, synonyms, audio, and more—before showing you anything. While this ensured you saw a complete picture, it sometimes meant a slight delay on slower connections.

With Progressive Definition Loading, we've reimagined how we deliver data to ensure you're never left waiting:

  1. Sequential Definitions: Instead of waiting for all meanings to load, definitions now appear one by one as they arrive.
  2. Streaming Context: For each definition, related examples, synonyms, and opposites load and display the moment they are ready, following the definition immediately.
